Will Tenquist has lived and worked in the area for 25 years. In that time he has built up a wealth of lettings experience across Altrincham, Timperley, Sale and the surrounding areas, and a view that most landlords are not badly served so much as under-served, handed to whoever is free that week and left to work out the rest themselves.
Before returning here he spent years in the London lettings market, which is where the standard came from. London moves faster, tenants expect more, and a slow or vague agent is found out quickly. Bringing that pace to a market where a landlord often waits three days for a call back is most of what makes TQ Lettings different.
He has a strong passion for property, understands what landlords and tenants each actually need, and would rather cut through the jargon than hide behind it. The aim is not a transaction. It is a landlord who calls him again for the next property, and the one after that.
Outside work, Will trains at the local CrossFit and is a Manchester United fan.
Why lettings only
Plenty of local agents do sales and treat lettings as the quieter half of the business. TQ Lettings does not sell houses. Everything: the time, the systems, the relationships with contractors and referencing providers, goes into letting and managing property, because that is the entire business rather than a department within it. It is also why the same person tends to be on the end of the phone from valuation through to the end of the tenancy.
Why independent matters
A corporate agency answers to targets set somewhere else. An independent one answers to the landlord in front of it, and to a local reputation that takes years to build and an afternoon to lose.
